As always Alex takes you to some wonderful places with his lyrics but for me it's all just a bit like they've tried too hard to write something that will stand the test of time. There's those albums that at the time were mad and hated by the majority, Sgt Peppers being one of them, but it feels like it's more like that was their aim rather than actually producing one. It sounds like they would have had an absolute ball producing it in the studio but with no thought to their fans. Kinda gets lost with me."
"I really like it. Reminds me of late 70s era bowie. Does lack the catchiness of their older stuff but I'd be far more disappointed if it just sounded samey like oasis tended to do."
